Google ventures into finance

Google Ventures has been launched to find the next big thing 

Its new venture capitalist arm aims to find and develop exceptional start-ups, offering early stage investments to a range of new firms.

Areas it will look at include consumer internet, software, clean tech, bio tech and healthcare.

The firm is well known for encouraging innovation internally  and this is a logical extension of that ethos.
